americas-smartest-cities: Personal Finance News from Yahoo! Finance (http://finance.yahoo.com/career-work/article/110890/americas-smartest-cities?mod=career-worklife_balance - broken link)

Good morning,

What do you guys think? I think it's so true and also think the least smartest list is as well. However, I don't think D.C. should be up there because it's a capital city.

Cheers,

Chris

I think that there is a basic fallacy to equating degrees to smarts. It does mean they were well "rehearsed" and had some sticktoitiveness but I rate the school of hard knocks, experience and common sense higher. Some of the "dumbest," weakest and most emotionally fragile people I ever knew and worked with were ones with advanced degrees.

How far we've com in America when some will devalue a good education. College degrees are where the good paying jobs are so for those who don't think it means anything...

I was talkin' smarts, Gentoo, not knowledge and jobs. No devaluation there and, in many cases, no correlation either.

I know you meant common sense type smarts and I agree with you. I wasn't actually addressing your post just speaking in general terms. Sorry for not being clear.

I bet you wouldn't be saying this if SD made the list.

You are a fake just like 95% of the people on this site. You can't straight up qoute my post and instead have to be like a 3rd grader and act all whiney hoping that I see your post. Your like 40 right? You certainly don't act like it.

Grow up. seriously
And you're what, about 13? Forty ain't old, pipsqueak, and most who achieve that age have a modicum of maturity you obviously lack, and are capable of formulating original thoughts; an ability you've yet to demonstrate in your many mewlings.
