I read on the sports forum that the Yankee's had a 3-1 lead over Boston in the 2004 World's Series than lost it all to the Red Sox's. Does anyone remember if New York shut out Boston in any of those first 4 games like the Giants have done with the Rangers?

Tonight's game is must-win for Texas so this could very well be the best game of the entire series; great baseball tonight!

Yes, because two American League teams played each other in the "World's" Series...

and I remember when the Dodgers were down 3 games to none and pulled it out. I think it was maybe 1963 or 64.

Just looked it up, it was 1963, I think in 64 St Louis won the NL.

That was the 2004 ALCS. The Yankees were ahead 3 games to zero and the Red Sox came back to win 4 games to 3 and then the World Series, 1st and only team to do that in an MLB series.

Go Giants! Lee will *probably* be tough tonight so long as he doesn't melt down again, but I bet he has been meditating and getting himself better prepared for the game. Hopefully Lincecum has done the same and can be better than in game 1 and shut down the Rangers without giving up runs while the Giants score some runs at bat. I think tonight is the only game the Rangers can really hope to win, but it all depends on Lee. After tonight's game it would go back to SF and I guess Cain would be on the mound while the Rangers would have their non-Lee pitchers who haven't been very good at all.

GO GIANTS!

Chris "Mad Dog" Russo must be going crazy, wish he did not move to Sirius/XM...Mike & The Mad Dog was obnoxious fun! LOL, now with just Mike it's just obnoxious! LOL

Part of me would like to see Texas win tonight, so the Giants can win at home in front of their fans, that would be awesome to be at live, but since i'm in Brooklyn,NY...I'll settle for watching it on TV.

It would be nice to see Jon Miller announcing the games not Joe Buck.

Wow..3 run HR by Renteria. What a clutch hit!

SF probably won this game. The best AL player and best pitcher in the MLB taken down by the Giants...wow!
