What are some cheap colleges in the SF Bay area for non-residents? I need to take some math (calculus) and statistics classes. I'm looking for places like Solano Community College, which is $216 per credit for non-residents. I know, the nonresident thing will make all of them more expensive.

No such thing as a cheap college. Community college is cheaper but after two years you'll be paying a lot if you transfer to a 4 year.

Yeah, I know... that's why I gave an example of the price range I'm looking for.

Yeah, thanks... I just need to take a couple of math and stats classes as prereqs for a master's. I already have a bachelor's.

Now if anybody would like to provide a helpful answer, some cheaper colleges in the bay area?

I'm looking for some actual names, including ones that may not be community colleges, preferably from someone who actually knows how much they cost. I'm not looking for generalities and assumptions, thanks all the same.

what you are finding at Solano CC is about the going rate. You aren't going to do any better. i sure many would love to help you, but there isn't much that can be said. As for private schools, they are going to be higher.

I wasn't expecting to do better... I'm just looking for the actual names of the institutions. You know, so I have a list of places to check out. Is it just "anything with community college in the name"? Or are there other institutions that are also about the same price? I'm trying to build a list of all of the cheaper range of schools, so I don't have to try to track down the cost of every college in California.

Here is the question I would like answers to:

What are the names of the colleges on the cheaper end of the spectrum?

Your questions are a bit confusing, which is why people are having trouble answering. Community colleges are the cheapest, followed by CSUs, UCs, then private college.

Let me google that for you
