Hi All. I will be visiting Napa in April for 4 days and am wondering if anyone has any affordable recommendations for places to stay.

Any assistance would be appreciated as I would be coming from NJ and have never been.

Hi, please define "affordable". Also, do you plan on staying there the entire time? And are you coming to specifically visit certain wineries (i.e. you are a wine geek) or to "fine" dine and just to visit the area?

Sorry, I should have been more specific in my original posting. Affordable would be $250 a night or less. We are doing a girls weekend so we will be spending 3 nights and 4 days in Napa. As this is a girls weekend, we are not looking for romance, just a good time. No specific wineries in mind, going to experience what Napa has to offer really.

I organized a week-long event at the River Terrace Inn in Napa and liked it a lot. The hotel is pretty new and relatively well appointed. It's close to downtown Napa and the Oxbow Market. It's also very affordable (<$175/night) for Napa Valley.

There are supposedly many newer small wineries on Mt. Veeder, where I used to go hiking when in my teens years ago. Beautiful area with views of Mt. St. Helena and the Napa Valley. Lots of big Redwoods, a just few rattlesnakes.

You may want to check out the Four Sisters Inns. We've stayed at the ones in Yountville and the one in downtown Napa (we thought the Blackbird [Napa] was better appointed but in a less desirable location). They also operate Maison Fleurie in Yountville. We were there for a wine tasting only and it looks the best of the 3. Depending on the days of the week, it should fit your budget.

The Premier West Coast Boutique Inn Hotel Collection with California and Washington hotels in Napa Valley, Wine Country, San Francisco Bay Area, Monterey Peninsula, Los Angeles, Seattle, and more!

We haven't stayed at the NV Lodge.

You should talk to Travis at Napa Valley Reservations. He'll get you a good price. Tell him Maggie with Napa Valley Nanny recommended him.
