I'll take this whole situation from a different angle. Why is a mentally ill man who is obviously deranged allowed to walk around (wheel around, I'm sorry) in public? I don't want this kind of person around while my wife shops. I'd rather have a cop who will shoot someone with a knife before I have a mentally Ill person capable of stabbing people.

Why don't you move to a country that doesn't have cops? I think you might like it there since you are obviously not happy here. I heard Mexico is pretty nice and I'm sure their police force is not nearly as bad as S.F.
