My spouse's company is planning to relocate to San leandro and my job location could be to Santa Clara. Given the above work locations, we want to find apt/housing in a decent community in Bay Area close to BART so that my spouse can commute using BART. How about child care facilities in that area. I would prefer something close to our stay location or so. Any suggestions / advice.
We are looking for a 2 BD apt in a decent neighborhood.

Thanks

Default Fremont

Given those locations, i would suggest Fremont. I'm not that familiar with neighborhoods, but understand its mostly a nice town and family friendly. Fremont does have a Bart station (its the closest one to Santa Clara), and you could take the dumbarton bridge to Santa Clara, but I believe you'd hit a lot of traffic.

I agree that Fremont would be a good option. It's nice/safe but really suburban and boring. The commute from San Leandro to Santa Clara would be pretty bad. San Leandro would be cheaper than Fremont but San Leandro is an older working-class suburb; there aren't a lot of nice apartments there. The few nicer neighborhoods in San Leandro are consisted of mainly single-unit housing.
