You just happen to have a bias for California, and some of us happen to have a bias against it.
LMAO at bias for California. Yes I like my state by I've considered moving out of state several times so I'm in no way blind to Ca.'s woes and hardships.

You're funny, keep 'em coming

Interesting, I've noticed the same names of "Black" CD members always saying the same thing over and over about how horrible the Bay Area is for blacks and how racist it is. I find it very odd and suspect they are not Black at all.

@18Montcliar: interesting stats on the incomes and education levels of African-Americans in the Bay. I had no clue! Wow I guess my only backup plan is northern VA then. :P

Don't act like that happens here-because it doesnt.

Oh, and he told that person to 'eff off.

That's not racism, that's classism. Poor people regardless of their race are going to receive care that subpar compared to rich people(regardless of their race).

Once again, that has nothing to do with race but is the nature of 'at will' employment.

Blacks are also leaving the Northeast, the Midwest and Southern California. I suppose those areas are all racist too?

Everywhere is racist except the SOUTH? Really?

So are we.
What you don't get, is that race issues, can also be class issues, if the blacks involved are poor. What you also don't get, is that blacks are disproportionately poor, compared to other races.

I have nearly 20 years of experience in marketing/business development, yet I always had to settle for low-age jobs in the Bay area. And the fact that other professional blacks had gone through the same thing there, tells me that they didn't want to hire blacks for good jobs. I refuse to believe that it's just 'an employment at will' thing. Especialy since constantly losing jobs there, had never happened to me, before I lived in the Bay area.

Blacks may be leaving other areas too, but that doesn't change the fact, that the Bay area seems to be particularly hostile to blacks.

Sorry, but the stats speak for themselves.

Neither you nor any other forumer here have explained with any degree of credibility or displayed any proof that would substantiate the almost irresponsible claim that 'the Bay Area seems to be particularly hostile to blacks'.

However we now know that Blacks in the Bay Area make more money than Blacks in DC, NY and Atlanta.

Doesnt sound very 'hostile' to me.

Sorry but what this thread has devolved to, in my estimation, is yet another "poor, pitiful me and my ilk," racially-based rant designed to perpetuate the victimhood and entitlement attitude so many who haven't quite made it to the top, as they envision it, on their own seem fond of and cling to.

It's always someone else's fault and they're being "held down."

LOL at your typical posts!! What I don't understand is why you prefer the Northeast to the Bay Area of California. Haven't you also had a rough go in MA in regards to finding gainful and permanent employment?

There is a lot of discrimination in the job market... in supposedly cosmopolitan NYC for example, qualified white male ex-cons are a little more than equally as likely to get hired as black males with equal qualifications and no record, and white males with no criminal record are twice as likely as either group. What kind of bull**** is that
