Someone was asking about cool weather in the summer and I made this map--based on my experience. How close am I to being correct?

Based on my experience, not very. Then again you may have a very different idea of hot, warm, and cool.

In my experience, this is hard to say, but parts of Fairfield/Suisun/Green Valley get a lot of cool, delta winds. I know people in Green Valley that only maybe turn on their A/C 2-3 times per summer.

Yes,especially in the summer. When I was living in Sacramento, Fairfield was where it started to get noticeably cooler(Delta Breeze)...maybe I should revisit my map.

Just thought of something else...

Fremont/Newark is a little too close to Warm/Hot air, I think. A lot of good, cool air coming in in the late afternoon - A/C use and pools also rarer there, especially in Newark.

Anywhere directly on the Pacific Coast, like Western Marin, the western half of SF, and Daly City/Pacifica are the coldest areas. Then the eastern part of SF like the Mission is usually about 5-10 degrees warmer. Berkeley and Oakland are a bit warmer than that. Then the eastern parts of the Peninsula and Eastern Marin along the Bay are a bit warmer...then San Jose is a bit warmer than that...then as you go inland it gets way hot. I'd say those are the main temperature zones at least in summer when you see the most balkanization in temps. I'm not really sure where places like around Lafayette, Fremont and Vallejo etc would fit into all that.

The northern part is wrong, lines should be much further apart. The blue line should run very close to the coast, basically following route 1 (Petaluma and even San Rafael are warmer in summer than coastal Oakland).

Draw the orange line along route 12/29/128 through Napa to Calistoga and then due west through Windsor till you hit the coast.

I might move the blue line north in Oakland to someplace past the lake as parts of east Oakland can get quite warm. Berkeley is perhaps in the right place. It's sunny but can be rather brisk.

Once you go through the tunnel, there really isn't much of a difference between places like Lafayette and Concord. I know this because I live in Oakland and used to commute to Concord everyday without AC during the summer...

Boy I dunno. I remember Sebastopol being hot like Livermore. Otherwise it's pretty accurate.
