Anyone do this? How bad is it? I just took a job in Fairfield but would rather live in Pleasant Hill or Walnut Creek (or maybe Hercules or Pinole). Anyone know how bad the commute is?

There's a toll bridge, but it's reverse commute. The East Bay is more expensive than the Suisun Valley due to its proximity to San Francisco and San Jose jobs, so the commute routes go in towards those cities..

It's a 20-25 minute drive from either area, and like Sonarrat mentioned, it's a reverse commute! The $5 dollar toll on the Carquinez or Benicia bridge is a bit of a drag, though.

the $5 toll was not something I thought about. Thanks. Is there any daily/frequent driver toll discount? Just the fasttrak?

It's $5 and that's it, unfortunately.
