As a gay person, I have heard others make very rude comments about bisexuals but I dont get it. At the end of the day, this is about sexuality and a person has no control over what turns them on. Do they?

I'm not surprsied. As much as gays complain about discrimination, look how bad they treat eachother within there own community. Walk into a gay bar and look how many are standing across the room talking smack about others in the bar. People from many subgroups subconciously convey a lot of self hatred. It's no surprise bi-sexuals are targeted. But there is no denying that bi-sexuals can make things very complicated for both gays and straights alike.

Well that can be said of any community-true.

Well from the standpoint of sexual gratification, I dont see why anyone would have a problem. Getting off is getting off is getting off.

It gets tricky when people start to develop emotions I think. I know, I've been there. It sucks.

Also, the political aspect of it I think is the biggest thing with gays. Activists who fight for gay rights might feel that bisexuals are not a part of the community. I dunno.

I was on the fringes of a protracted political discussion in which several gays and lesbians were claiming that bisexuals had it easier. The rationale: bisexuals could benefit from the privileges heterosexuals receive, as they always have the option to indulge in their opposite sex attractions.

My reaction: Yawn

Yeah, that rationale is somewhat hypocritical imo because the very essence of our argument is that people should be free to love whom they please without fear of retribution from others.

Samantha from Sex in the City once said..."There are two types of guys in this world. The ones that do you, and the ones that love you. And the ones that do you arn't worth a damn"
