I would want to see the diversification plans for all the China Towns, Japan Towns, barrios, ghettos, Little Italies, Little Saigons, etc. before I came down on Marin. And lets not forget the Amish and Mennonite communities. After all, clearly nothing is sacred to government unless it results in votes. Social engineering at its worst. Smacks of school bussing, "affordable housing" requirements, cultural competency, affirmative action and other failed policies that have plagued this country for generations Political correctness at its worst.

In the US, neither blacks nor Amerindians have assimilated to the dominant European culture, nor have the cultures blended.

It is an astute observation, anytime I go anywhere in the bay area, and only see white people, it is odd considering how diverse it is. When the ratios are too far skewed, you know something weird is going on.

If you want to be stereotype, it is should be pretty difficult to find an "upperclass" area with no Asian or Indian people. You just have to wonder.
