If minorities choose not to live in Marin, that's their right, and no one should try to force them to move there.

So what of the minorities who have been there all along? In Marin City, for example?

White people on the internet: the most oppressed minority in the history of mankind.

Oh, Boo Hoo! Like likes to live around like. What a strange concept. I would want to see the diversification plans for all the China Towns, Japan Towns, barrios, ghettos, Little Italies, Little Saigons, etc. before I came down on Marin. And lets not forget the Amish and Mennonite communities. After all, clearly nothing is sacred to government unless it results in votes. Social engineering at its worst. Smacks of school bussing, "affordable housing" requirements, cultural competency, affirmative action and other failed policies that have plagued this country for generations Political correctness at its worst.

Mix 'em up an' integrate 'em, dammit! What right do they have to choose where and with whom to live?

You obviously have no understanding of racism in America. There are a lot of facts that refute your claim that whites are somehow horribly oppressed in America. Saying that whites have experienced the worst racism in the US in the past 10 years is basically delusional.

I don't know about all that. American history is about blacks and whites really. Everything we call "American" especially music and food is generally a mixture of black and white. Yes there are some important differences here and there. However there seem to be bigger differences from one region to another than between people in the same region. Now for other groups of course things are certainly different.

You forgot about the Asians in your history books. The Chinese exclusion acts? Indentured servants? Japanese internment camps?

I didn;t forget because I was only responding to what was posted and mostly one part of it, this

In the US, neither blacks nor Amerindians have assimilated to the dominant European culture, nor have the cultures blended.
Asians were not mentioned. I agree with you however, it just wasn't relevant.

It is an astute observation, anytime I go anywhere in the bay area, and only see white people, it is odd considering how diverse it is. When the ratios are too far skewed, you know something weird is going on.

If you want to be stereotype, it is should be pretty difficult to find an "upperclass" area with no Asian or Indian people. You just have to wonder.

It's 'old money' holding on to their areas.
