Needing temporary housing for a week in SF - thinking about renting at a Single Room Hotel for a week while looking for a place to live as i will only be sleeping there for a few hours a night.

Be careful. Most of those hotels are run down "welfare" hotels. They're dirty, noisy at all hours and not very safe. I wouldn't keep any valuables in your room while you're away. You may also end up sharing your room with a few million roaches.

I ended up staying at the Sweden House Hotel for a week - clean, nice shower, reasonable priced.
Ask for Ryan - Manager of the place; he'll steer you straight.
