People are so uptight. When I was in highschool (Late 90's) We had our senior pool party at a water park. Same exact complaints. This is nothing new, Americans need to get over their weird body phobia. It's not like a bunch of 10 year olds wearing this stuff.

American culture is very contradictory. There's this hypersexualization in the media and porn culture but in some regards it's also very puritanical.
