Hello everyone! I am new to the forum. I have just finished my application to SFUSD and I have received an email saying the I am eligible for employment in SFUSD. However, I have not heard from any schools yet. Is there anything I should do to help my chances of getting hired? It is tough to get a job in this economy and I know schools are hesitant to hire new people but I know there are several schools with openings. Should I call them, email them or anything at all? Any help is appreciated.

I don't think it would help your chances by contacting them. The process takes much longer than it should, but it's reflective of the numerous applications HR receives and their own challenges in doing work that probably required two or more people in past years.
