I found some apartments in Buena Vista for rent that are affordable but I don't know anything about the area as I haven't moved to San Francisco yet.

Edit:
Also found some in NOPA, Anza Vista, Noe Valley but not sure what those areas are like either.

I'm 22 years old and mostly have been looking in the Russian Hill/North Beach/Marina/Pac Heights/Nob Hill area but also looking elsewhere

I don't know if I've ever heard of a neighborhood called that, is that around Buena Vista Park? That's basically the Haight.

Buena Vista park probably has more murders and crime than any other park in SF!

Ok so I won't be living there then! Is Haight a bad area? How far away until you get good neighborhoods? Noe Valley, Hayes Valley, Mission, Lower Haight, Alamo Square are all by there.

Don't be ridiculous.

The neighborhoods surrounding Buena Vista Park are very nice areas with spectacular views and easy walkability to lots of amenities and light rail and bus access to Downtown, Golden Gate Park and a host of other very vibrant neighborhoods.

According to Trulia, the average list price for a housing unit in the Buena Vista Park are is currrenty$ 1.190 Million

The problem with the park is the bums (most of them very young and drugged up). If they cleaned them out and locked them up, there would be nearly no crime in the park.

Yes only in SF do you pay 1.2 million to buy a tiny, ugly house without any amenities and the neighborhood park choke full of violent criminals, drug addicts, prostitutes and assorted variety of annoying people.

Hey broken record, we know you despise SF but likening Buena Vista Park to a crime infested ghetto does not jive with the reality of the place and any buffoon with two feet need only walk around that neighborhood to understand that you are totally exaggerating, as usual.

Look, here's the thing about living in a city, any city: the good and bad are sometimes intermingled. The neighborhood surrounding Buena Vista Park is called Ashbury Heights; it is very nice, very exclusive; but crime do occasionally happened in the park. Just like in New York, every so often some poor jogger gets murdered in Central Park, but the condos overlooking Central Park are drop-dead expensive.

Noe, NOPA, and Anza Vista are all nice nabes. Judging by your age, I think you'll like Marina, North Beach, Russian Hill or NOPA. I can tell you more about each neighborhood if you want to know more.
