Can you please provide an estimate of what a commute time from Brentwood to Concord would be for a normal 8-5 M-F job?

There's a lot of info on here, but the answer is still not clear. Some say that the BART station in Pittsburgh requires a lottery to get a parking spot. Others comment that Brentwood to Pittsburgh can take 5 or 50 minutes.

Still others relocating from So Cal (like myself) are saying that the traffic is no big deal.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Honestly, traffic on the 4 is just crappy, especially with all of the construction going on through Antioch. Depending on the pocket of traffic you hit, you're looking at a commute of at least 20-30 minutes just to get from Hillcrest Ave (in Antioch) to Willow Pass Road (North Concord) which is roughly 11 miles of freeway. That doesn't even factor from where in Brentwood you would begin your commute. And if there is an accident? Say goodbye to your morning because it will be spent sitting in traffic.

I don't use the BART for my work commute, so can not comment on the lottery (I've never had a problem getting a parking spot before?) but if there is a BART station close to your work- use it.

The evening commute from Concord to Brentwood is worse than the morning, in my opinion. Traffic often backs up as far back as the 242/4 interchange, which makes the whole time on the 4 stop and go.

There are back roads, too, but that depends on your location in Brentwood because some of them would be out of your way.
