Discovery Channel is set to announce a potentially controversial new series: A docu-soap reality show set in the country’s largest medical marijuana distributorship and starring a pot reform activist. This fall, the network will unveil Weed Wars, where cameras follow the day-to-day dealings of a California ganja store.

You have to wonder how much of this "docu-soap" is "docu" and how much is "soap".

More importantly will this decrease prices or shorten lines or just the opposite?

I'm looking forward to having the so-called stereotype confirmed -- that most of the customers aren't from all-walks of life that you'd expect to see getting medicine at a pharmacy, but instead are mostly the typical young burn-out/pot-head and aging hippie types who are 'recreational' smokers.

From what I saw at a dispensary...mostly young, pretty gals in their 20's. But that was at a beach location.

Harborside serves up 80,000+, so I don't think you're going to get the stereotypes you expect.

Stoned Mormons, anybody?

I think my stereotype is much more accurate than yours, but that's because I think.

Stereotyping is a prime indicator of those who don't. (Mine was sarcastic - if only those oh-so-serious Mormons would just take a bong hit...)
