I would be missing my hometown's weather if my weather in Portland today wasn't exactly like S.F. Indian Summer weather. In high school we sometimes cut half day to enjoy the hot days at Baker Beach. Hanging outside cafes in North Beach in the 80's, drinking espresso before curfew and being wired on coffee all night. Worth being tired the next day though...

This ain't indian summer weather, it hasn't even really hit 75. It is nice out though, this afternoon when I got back to Oakland from work it was perfect, like 70 and warm in the sun. Last year we had a couple days around August where it hit 100, that was brutal. I prefer this but a little indian summer would be nice before the rains hit, hopefully we get a few days of 80's at least.

East Bay weather is amazing though. I can't believe it hit 100! Wow! So no heat waves yet? This year's weather has been crazy everywhere so hopefully you will have two great months ahead of you.

It usually gets into the 90's in SF and Oakland at least a few times during the summer, and maybe to around 100 one or two days a year, but we haven't really had anything other than two days around May or June when it was almost 90. Otherwise it's been about 65-70 during the day since around May. Though we did have a couple days in March when it got to around 85, there's usually a short period between winter and summer with some warm days before the fog pushes in.

Where do you see Indian summer? Today is one of the foggiest and entire city is covered in thick fog all day... It is foggy every single day and temp is yet to 65... Just accept that this whole Indian summer is a myth. I mentioned many times that there are two seasons in SF: Rain and Fog.. and I am right.

I was there in mid July and it was glorious. Cool foggy mornings and warm sunny afternoons...
No it was cold and foggy all day long... No sunny afternoons west of twin peaks.

Andy, I relocated because I didn't like where I was living. Why can't you do the same?
