A young early 20 something man I know is always dressed like this and so are most of his friends... he never dressed like this before his time in Juvenile Hall.

One day I asked him about it and he said they don't let you have tight pants or belts in prison... anytime you walk, you have to use one hand to hold up your pants or just not worry about it...

I've known him since he was 4... sadly, he has lots of company...

His 3 "Partners" as he calls them all have done time.

Don't know about older - giant pants sagging to the knees grace nearly every bunch of kids I see getting out of school every day (especially East San Jose), along with tall shirts and sideways caps. Same as it ever was.

I think he meant older as in it's been around a long time. We did it when I was in high school in the early '90s. At some point, I learned to pull my pants up and use a belt properly, and I wish the young bucks today would do the same.

I am old and always thought that those with their trousers hanging below their butts were looking for "attention" of a particular kind!

Number 1 pet peeve: people that are far to old who are still sagging. There are far too many people in the 35+ club rocking this look. There is an age limit. Probably 23.

... ummm, probably age 2 - 3? ... when the heavily-laden diapers start to come off and big boy pants come on?

I could care less what kind of pants they wear - if they want to look like a total idiot, more power to them. I also appreciate the comic relief. But my question is on the physics of it - literally, how can they even walk without their pants falling all the way to the ground? It always amazes me.

I'm not even being sarcastic, its an honest question!
