I dont doubt anything you've said, but so what? Black parents dont want their kid dating the asian or white kid either. The christian parent doesnt want their kid dating the muslim or even catholic. Everyones the same. There is truth in all stereotypes, and their are exceptions to every rule. If someone doesnt suit you, move on to the next............there's no shortage.

LOL, my parents have told me to date whoever makes me happy .. My family is composed of Asian/African American/Jamaica/Hispanic .. you name it.. I don't recall African Americans look down on any particular race as less than them/etc.
Like i said, there were diff. things presented at the head of this thread.. the dating scene and the social scene.. both are influenced by underlying drivers that are a big issue.

Seems to be a phenomenon that I think happens to the largest minority in a given area. In the South Bay of San Diego, Mexicans are highly sought after by everyone. Here in Oakland, dating appears easier if you're black. At least compared to the places I've been.
