Is the shore line near the Oakland bay bridge. (Where 880 and I-80 connect in west Oakland.) Accessible to the public? I would like to head out there on foot to explore the marsh there. To photograph and collect bugs and other creepy crawly's. And wish not to break any laws. (I am new to this Regine having just moved in from Iowa earlier this year. So I am a bit nave about the laws here.)

And where can I find a map that shows the off limits areas? So I know what to avoid. Preferably before getting arrested for tress passing!

There is a project to make the entire shoreline from Richmond to Fremont accessible, so many parts are. You might want to try this part:
Port of Oakland - Community
Middle Harbor Shoreline Park

Thanks. I checked that sight. Middle Harbor shoreline. And it dos not say anything about the area I am interested in. If you head east from San Francisco on the Oakland bay bridge. And look to your left as you exit the bridge. You will see a long stretch of wetland like area. Running along 880. Is that in anyway off limits? I want to be able to explore an area that isn't manicured and or packed with tourist and sight seers.
