I have never used marijuana and have no interest in ever doing so, but I find it incredibly hypocritical that alcohol and tobacco is sold and used with the government's blessing while marijuana is treated as if its far worse when studies show the former 2 substances have cause addiction, disease, accidents, hundreds of billions of dollars in medical treatments and the loss of millions of lives.

And medicinal marijuana is supposed to help those who are very sick feel better---hell, we already give morphine to people in the hospital.

And Im glad that Oakland is not backing down from federal demands to cease and desist.

I've yet to hear a well constructed, rational, convincing argument for the prohibition of marijuana. Anytime you engage in this debate with marijuana opponents their arguments are rooted in misinformation (much of it distributed by our government) and irrational fear.

If someone is dying of cancer they can have heroin for all I care, let alone marijuana. I can't believe Obama is allowing this crackdown to happen.

The Reefer Madness is real! We can't have people so stoned they can't make it to WalMart, can we?

Good, maybe it will help.

I am very disappointed that even though we have an admitted (former?) bonger as PotUS, the Feds continue this crazy policy as well as continuing to consider it illegal in general. It's such a no brainer. Would save Law Enforcement dollars and provide tax revenue. What are we waiting for?
