Special weather statement: It's serious enough if you're the ****** who forgets your jacket LOL

Haha, this sounds like something I'd write, as well.

Special weather statements I'm used to for the winter would go something like this: "in the next few days, a severe storm will drop 1 foot (or more) of snow on your area, and there will be blizzard conditions."

I'm pretty happy I live in an area that treats clouds/possibility of rain as noteworthy news...but I'm still not used to it and certainly get a kick out of it.

Actually, 48 is about 10 degrees below average for the Bay Area. That kind of cold doeesn't last. In fact, I understand there is record cold with nighttime freezes for just the next two days.

But yes, normal for this time of year is 55-60 depending on your city, and a fair amount of rain, but with brisk, sunny, blustery days in between.

62F is slightly above average but nothing to write home about. Record highs would be well into the 70s.

I too get a kick out of how people react here. Having moved in from Iowa city Iowa back in April of 2011. Especially love to watch the weather lady's. They almost seem to be apologetic. About having to report a little rain? By the way. I have yet to see rain since I have moved here. I saw a couple light sprinkles. But no true storms yet... Where are the twisters? And the blizzards?
