I'm thinking about moving to Hayward.
I go to school in San Francisco.

I know nothing of Hayward. I'm in my 50s and I really want a QUIET ... peaceful place to live. What areas would you suggest?

I want to avoid paying over $1300 a month.
I'm single.
I love to garden... but a top floor apartment might be more peaceful than the place I'm at now.

Oh ... and it would be great if it was close to BART.

Suggestions?

Hayward sucks. I'd look elsewhere

Forget Hayward, and look at Castro Valley, lots of affordable places near the BART station there.

You're looking for peace and quiet but you're thinking of Hayward? What is it that even made you think of Hayward if you know nothing about it? It is the last place you ought to be looking for some peace and quiet (though, there are some pretty nice areas in Hayward).

I'm not familiar with Hayward, but I've got some family that lives in Castro Valley and it seems like a pretty good place. It's just up the road from Hayward.
