Lew knowingly bought his merchandise from GoodWill and then turns around and complains that his things aren't new and has holes in them.

Few years later, he does not even buy from Goodwill anymore. He is now outside of GoodWill crying poor and asking passer-bys for handouts so he can acquire Chanel handbags although he has plenty of $$$ stashed away under his mattress.

What's up with the d-bag owners?

The Yorks, and now this punk.

This is Jersey stuff. Are we turning into Jersey?

Looks like the Yorks have turned the corner and actually hired football mines to head the front office and it has proven to be successful thus far. 49ers even hired a new President. A successful sports club needs to be lead from the very top. Lew is awful. Chris Cohen and that brown noser Robert Rowell were awful as well.

This. The York's are inherently meddling owners, but Harbaugh had the credibility coming in to essentially tell them to keep signing the checks and to otherwise shut the **** up.

They're going to blow up the FO? Strange - seems they were doing pretty well.

I understand the Giant's owners side of things - all about $$ but what's up with the Giants "fans". Why are they so against an A's ballpark in SJ? It wasn't that long ago that the Gnats played at Candlestick with just a couple thousand season ticket holders. They get a new ballpark and all of a sudden they have fans and lots of $ to spend - revenue & payroll is about double what the A's spend. I use to think this was a "friendly" rialry but guess I was wrong.

Why do you assume all against the move are Giants fans? I am a fan of neither team, and as such really have little opinion on the matter...

But from my perspective, it seems to me to be more about Oakland vs. San Jose, and which is more "deserving" of a team. Opponents of the move seem to be of the mindset that Oakland is more representative of the A's history. Also, there seems to the be argument thrown out that San Jose is perceived to be "sleepy" and/or "boring", and a baseball stadium might not work in that environment (since successful stadiums are often built in/around exciting neighborhoods).

Like I said, I don't really have an opinion on the matter; but as an outsider it seems to be more about the cities (especially here on City-Data), and less about the actual baseball team. That's just my observation...
