Lots of money and weed attract weirdos. But we'll take weirdos in the Bay Area over Lame-O's from elsewhere.

The group found that while "no large metropolitan area's consumption patterns exactly mirrored those of the nation as a whole," consumer behaviors in the San Jose area varied the most from the national norms for sports, fitness, hobbies and aspects of home life.
This is kind of silly, my guess is that by "weird" they mean that people in the Bay Area tend to exercise a lot, live with roommates or alone, like soccer, and like eating ethnic food. But everyone will jump on this and insist it means everyone wears assless chaps while chained to a male dominatrix, which probably isn't very convenient for C++ coding or serving microbrews.

Not in SJ.

But we dig the soccer (nice come-from-behind win over the Galaxy in L.A. Wed. night, Earthquakes!), and the microbrews.

Thanks for posting this. Reminds me why I want to move out here. I'm probably 10 for 10 in terms of deviation from the national average, so I think I'm coming to the right place
