I am searching for documentaries about the "other" San Francisco, most notably Hunters Point, Sunnydale, Lakeview, the Tenderloin, or any of The City's housing projects. I have already seen Straight Outta Hunters Point (part 2 is completed but I can't find it anywhere), all of the Hood 2 Hoods, the Block Reports, the Russia Today special on Hunter's Point "USA: Prisoner of the Ghetto" and, from back in the day, James Baldwin's amazing documentary about Hunters Point entitled "Take This Hammer" (highly recommended, by the way).

I have been searching for "Don Bonus", a documentary about a young Cambodian immigrant in the Tenderloin and Sunnydale in the 90s but have only found short parts of it on youtube, so if anyone knows where I could find the entire film it would be appreciated.

But, in general, I am looking for any documentaries on the subject other than the ones I already named, so if you know of any let me know!

Take This Hammer is amazing. The way James Baldwin (and, more importantly, the young people he interviews) identifies the dissonance between the popular perception of San Francisco and the reality of many of its inhabitants is as coherent today as it was five decades ago. Take This Hammer on Vimeo

**** I saw a documentary about hood life in SF, that was dated back in the 50's. Even then, same ****, well actually worse because they could legally push you around back then.

Is this the documentary you are talking about? A documentary film about Youth Gangs - "Ask Me, Don't Tell Me!" - YouTube

One big documentary that wasn't mentioned in the OP was the Gangland on the street gangs and Tongs in Chinatown. Surprisingly enough it was a very well-researched and balanced look at the Chinatown underworld, which is strange considering how well known Gangland is for sensationalizing everything.

I saw a little of this episode but never watched the whole thing, I'll definitely check it out now. Thank you.
