As a lifelong Steelers fan I'm kinda torn about that. Makes the 49ers are the better franchise argument stronger if you tie the Steelers record for wins in the Super Bowl.

But then I want to root for the valley kid the 49ers have at QB, and I'm in the valley and hate the Ravens....

So torn....

Oh well.

Go 49'ers.

Whoopsie... not surprising an Oaklander would doubt our awesomeness this year!! How do you like your crow cooked?

Btw, my sister (and her husband) will be at the Super Bowl - along with the guy I've been dating on & off for a couple of years. She works with the team, and he is a former player/SB champ. A friend was just asking what I need to do to score a seat next to them, but I'm not sure ANYTHING would be enough. Oh well, it would be wasted on me anyway!

I sure would like to see one of these on my sister's hand, though... (me wearing my man's ring - can you believe this fits his ring finger snugly? )

Hey I'm a 9ers fan too. I was 100% correct in that the Giants/A's were more likely to make the playoffs, given that it was SEPTEMBER and both teams were playing so great. Getting rid of Alex Smith certainly helped too

Very happy to see SF in the big game again and I hope they destroy the Ravens (I'm also a Redskins fan)

Okay, you're forgiven! I'm actually a big A's fan, so I guess we are allowed to cross the bay (in our loyalties).

Yup. Hate the Raiders and Giants, but I love the A's.

My loyalties are kinda weird, but they are totally rational from my viewpoint

I know, right?! It almost feels like the old days (late '80s-90s), when SF was a force to be reckoned with!

Haha, sounds like me! I'm a fan of the A's, 49ers & Sharks, hate the Raiders, and neutral on the Warriors & Giants... and I at least think my reasoning is rational too, lol.

A's/Niners fans are not that uncommon, really

A lot of my friends, including myself, are A's/Niners. Less common is Giants/Raiders.

I find that rooting for both the Giants and the A's generally works nice.

1989 was a ***** though.
