Like mentioned, if you can afford it do it. You only live once, also call the city whatever you want. Frisco is fine, dont let snobs brainwash you with the nobody calls it frisco crap. They are probably transplants.

^^^ That, Sir, is a cruel joke.

I'm neither a snob nor a transplant. I'm Bay Area born and bred and middle class all the way. A transplant will probably give you a more hostile response for saying "frisco" than a local will, but a local is still likely to correct you. San Francisco or the city, that's it.

^--- Yeah. I was nudged by a number of Native San Franciscans for calling it 'Frisco.' Don't do it. Just, don't. In writing, SF is also acceptable, but in conversation you use the full name or say The City.

Also, don't call it SFO either or people will assume you're talking about the airport. This forum is the only place I've ever seen San Francisco referred to as SFO.
