But the more discerning observers delineate between wants and needs, and proceed accordingly. Kids want cookies; parents know they need veggies. Many adults act like kids...

Groceries, which are a necessity, can go in a reusable bag. Everybody wins!

"Gee kids, back in my day, we used to have these plastic bags that they gave us in the stores..."

"Really?! How old are you?"

The t-shirt portion of the video starts at about 5:30 in. Great idea, and so easy! Not to mention that the bags are washable.

And that's very important. The cheapy ones they sell are not -- and often shred up in the dryer.

And if you don't have t-shirts -- which I can't imagine -- hit the thrift store on sale days and go to the dollar rack. Get mediums and larges. If you have the mind to, you can take the sleeves and make cute rosettes to sew on the bag, so there's no waste. You can get fabric paint and paint stuff on the bag.... or just make a bag.

And they are very foldable. Just took mine into the produce place and the guy ringing me up said -- um.... there's a tshirt in here.

I said -- lift it up -- it's my bag!

He thought it was the greatest thing ever.
