I also think that people who are promiscuous tend to understate the number of partners they have had and people who don't get enough tend to inflate it. So maybe we need to turn the list upside down to see which city is really promiscuous...

Interesting. Because according to this Huffington Post article (which incidentally I just discovered on a recent thread in the California forum - also started by our OP!) San Francisco county has the 4th highest rate of chlamydia of all 58 CA counties, beating out both Los Angeles and San Diego counties. ETA: Article also says SF has the highest syphilis AND gonorrhea rates in California as well. I suppose it all comes down to how you wanna measure it.

Keep in mind we're talking the highest rate, not the highest total number. SF being a concentrated urban city with no suburban areas to temper the more 'open' nature of the City.

Still, its not really a surprise and the total numbers are probably relatively small.

Sounds right to me. It's impossible for a straight man to score in SF. First, because there are no real women to begin with. There's tons of men dressed up like women, but no women. Secondly, the feminazi culture of SF makes it seem like a crime for men to approach women.

Could be the women of SF don't care for those with this sort of caveman outlook. Some level of sophistication is sought in a place with a highly-educated citizenry. And some women don't like being stalked or cornered.
