Bergen-Lafayette isn't gentrified. The vibe of JC is far more similar to Oakland than Newark is though.

I'm not sure how 120 murders, and having the highest violent crime rate in the entire state of California is "misleading", but ok.

Yes yes i know 120 murders and highest crime rate, for people involved in the lifestyle that puts them at risk. If you are not involved in that lifestyle your risk is slim to non, just like most major cities. I respect your conviction Doc, I truly do, but the picture you paint with the stats is not accurate for every demographic in the city. By and large it only represents the unfortunate souls who choose that particular lifestyle. There are some exceptions, the two young ladies killed in East Oakland and the Oikos people, but by and large a majority of those killings are young black men involved in some sort of elicit activity.

I'm not sure what prompted you to bring that up anyway, I didn't make any statement about JC being gentrified or not.

Is this true about any city?

I'm not singling out Oakland, but the stats are what they are.

Yes, Oakland is exactly like Newark. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Roughly. Could be more. It was 115 back in November.
