Good luck finding a home in Oakland in a safe area with schools for 320K. Not a Condo, a single family HOME.

because of san francisco lotto system there is no guarantee of good schools
and this is a probate sale which in my experience are usually below market price and more often cash sales

Your original post was good luck finding that price in SF. I found LOWER than what you requested and I get a bunch of excuses.

Not in this market.

Anyone who has spent time on the court house steps know this hasn't been the case for nearly a year.

The median household income in most counties of the Bay Area is around 73,000. I am very confident that since income has not increased proportionately in relation to house prices, home prices will come down sharply.

Folks, it's another bubble. Wait for the implosion and then buy in.

I understand that but the Bay Area has 542,349 households that earn $150,000+ annually according to the 2011 Census Estimates and they overwhelm the local inventory of homes for sale which is about 4-5 thousand units at any one time.

but you CAN NOT find a home with good schools in San francisco at any price because of the lotto.
maybe that's why sf has the smallest percentage of children of any city in california.
at a certain price point in oakland you can get good schools.
