The last time I had a really good breakfast was some place in Albany...Sunshine Cafe (or something like that). Ella's in the City is very good too (California & Masonic).
I'd tend to agree with this. I've had it twice and the first time I was pretty impressed but went back about 8 months ago and was pretty disappointed in the quality. Not sure if it anything had changed in between the two visits or not. Meh.

No pictures. But I ate a late breakfast at Black Bear on Olive. Had a trip-tip scramble and hash browns. Was very good, overall. They were playing a Beach Boys album, so I got to sing with the waitress for fun. Was a fun trip overall. The kiddos are doing well down there.

I'm not familiar with Black Bear. Here's the link for anyone else who wants more info. I must say, with Huckleberry Icecream, and Blackberry shakes, I'm already hooked! I'll give it a try next time I head out to Santa Cruz, via Monterey, where they have one. Too bad they don't have one in Needles, haha! I have to drive through Needles from NM to get to the Bay. It would make that long, dull desert drive worthwhile.

How are the burgers there? Probably pre-made and frozen, not fresh made? I'm trying to get a feel for this place. It looks kinda institutional, like Denny's.

I dunno. Haven't had one yet. Just usually eat breakfast there or Chinese at Asia Garden, when I'm down there.

That's one thing I miss, in NM, is good Chinese food. The Chinese food here is very mediocre. Berkeley's great for Chinese.
Except my fave Chinese place on Shattuck closed, Yangtze River. Darn!

If you are in Fresno try Hunan. The chef is from China and they have an authentic Chinese menu. He's won some fancy-schmancy awards in China and stuffs.

I just had their Chinese Chicken Salad and special fried rice last night for dinner actually. Delish.

That sounds ALMOST good enough to lure me to Fresno, in spite of the frightening write-up it got on your thread! Almost, but not quite. Are there a lot of Asians in Fresno?
