I wonder if there is sufficient infrastructure to support the influx of tourists/ fans, or if it will be a cluster.

All the fans and tourists will be in San Francisco. So it'll just be another day in that charming city.

Meanwhile, in Santa Clara, one can hear the crickets chirp

Very happy about this. Particularly excited about the NFL Experience at Moscone, although it will be in dangerous proximity to my office, my boss may not like it. Oh, who am I kidding? He'll probably be the first to go there and the last to leave anyway.

I like how the NY Times reported that "San Francisco will host the Super Bowl." Yeah right!

Without this, the money hole known as the new stadium would have been a loser. So the gamblers at the wheel of the ship seem to have won one.

I doubt Santa Clara will lose money on the stadium in the long run. They will do fine. Doesn't make them less of a lapdog to San Francisco, but they'll do fine.

It means it's time for San Jose to reverse the stupid closing of clubs, live music venues and outdoor events/festivals and get ready for the SuperBowl onslaught, if they want to make big $$$ off it. Santa Clara will be hard-pressed to offer much to visitors, and SF will be quickly maxed out.

Sorry about Crabtree, Niner fans.

Meanwhile, we await to see a re-emergence by 2016 of:

^I lived in SD when they hosted the 2003 Superbowl. There were "Go Bucs" billboards up around town LOL.
