A good Bay Area day trip would be Mount Diablo for hiking, picnicking, with afternoon shopping and early dinner in downtown Walnut Creek.

It's well known that California is a great place for sightseeing. So we gonna rent a car on weekends and travel. We wish to see everything!

Could you advice places that we MUST visit? What are your favorite routes? I've heard that one definitely should see Lake Tahoe, Sonoma, Half Moon Bay... What else???

I'll appreciate if you give me as much information as possible. Thanks.
All of those are musts and add Napa Valley, Muir Woods and Carmel, as well as maybe Hearst Castle for starters. There are a lot of fun places to see in and around the Bay Area.

Enjoy yourself and take advantage of free time before you move into your new home.
