What the hell, Bay Area? We're supposed to be getting into the cozy rainy season. Once again we're going weeks and weeks without a drop of rain. What's going on with NoCal's climate lately? I miss the rain we used to get, like the Oct 2010- May 2011 period. Is this ever going to change? The land looks so dry and parched. We've only received 3.5 inches of rain since the beginning of 2013. 2012 was also insanely dry, as was fall of 2011.

Get it together, climate!!

I don't recall Oct/Nov ever being rainy. Dec-Feb/March used to be the rainiest part of the year, as I recall. El Nino/la Nina effect aside.

I hope we have a very Dry year, I hate the wet / rainy weather

I rather pay more for food than have stormy wet weather

it's nice weather

I agree; heavy rains are very sloppy, depressing when they continue for long periods, and challenging to drive in. But they sure beat dealing with forest fires!

Why can't we simply ban rain during daytime hours and demand that it just comes through at night?

Then move to Needles.

Anyway, time to invest in companies that manufacture desalinization equipment...

OP's in the wrong part of CA. I passed through Tehachapi a couple of times the last month, and it was snowing.

We're going through a dry spell unfortunately, happens every few years it seems. Hopefully it starts raining soon as we need it and I like it when the hills turn green. Back in the late 80's/early 90's we went through something like 7 or so years of drought I believe.
