Hi
how much money do i need to live in san francisco per month ???
That includes 1 bedroom rent, food and using the public transportation.
Is it possible to make it with around $2000 total per month ???

Sorry, dude, you'll never make it, unless that 1 bedroom is an actual, literal "1 bedroom" that you are renting out of somebody's house.

what do u mean no ? if u go into craigslist there is a bunch of $1000 for one room per month.

If that's the case, renting just a room from someone else, well, I suppose you could "make it" assuming you're healthy, not in debt, don't have expensive tastes in food, don't have any pets (vet bills, food), don't squander the remainder of your paychecks on silly gadgets, and that no emergencies crop up. It can be done, if you're very thrifty, deny yourself of "goodies," and sock away as much money as you can for unforeseen events. $1000 a month can go very quickly around here.

Transportation is expensive and yes, EVERYTHING is REALLY expensive here. I've lived in NYC which was also really expensive but the bay area definitely surpasses all as the most expensive place I've ever lived. You should know what you're getting yourself into before you blindly enter into something.
