Hey guys,

I look at condo listings regularly to get an idea of what is out there and I saw this one.

What do you think of this 2 bed/2 bath in Adams Point? Do you think it will move quickly?

What stood out to me was that the interior looks renovated in this 1966 building. Also, it has some floor to ceiling windows. I don't think such a modern looking interior is that common in the Adams Point/Grand Lake/Lakeshore area. Too bad it doesn't have an in-unit washer/dryer.

At $435k, do you guys think the listing price is fair? What is your opinion? Crappy? Lovely? Bad location?

mod cut

(I just decided to name this thread "Oakland Real Estate Thread" just in case I see others I want to share with you guys or you guys have some to post.)

Disclaimer: I don't own this property nor know the person who does.

Sick of granite/stainless. It's 2014 and that place already looks dated

What do you suggest in place of granite/stainless? I don't think I have seen anything more current.

Btw, don't you live in JLS? There are tons of units there with that look, no?

Yup it'll likely sell quickly. A similar place in my building was gone in 2 weeks. (I live on the other side of the freeway, but....)

White ice appliances and stained concrete countertops -- that's new. I agree with Oak -- EVERYONE has done the little elongated glass tiles EVERYWHERE....

Sounds lovely, but I was sincere when I said I had not seen anything more current- at least that I can recall. Anyone feel like taking the time to link me to some images so I can update my mental registry of what is the latest?

I like the look of concrete counters, but I am afraid I'll break all of my dishes.

When is the pendulum going to swing back to harvest gold. Hehehe.

Quality stainless will always be in high end kitches. The difference between now and 10 years ago is now they slap a thin piece of stainless on the outside of cheap appliances.

Now granite is very outdated, marble is always in style, Corian is nice, I really like recycled glass.

The cabinets look ikea as well.
