Hi,
I recently relocated to the Bay area. I am looking for a nice space to rent for my art studio somewhere between San Jose to San Francisco but I am unfamiliar with the area.
Can you share with me names of studios and good areas to be in.

Thank you I appreciate your help!

Check out the map for the last Open Studio on web page for Open Studios for SF, and east bay
Artist Studio Spaces in San Francisco
http://db.proartsgallery.org/map/map_ebos_13.php

A lot of the artists who participate in Open Studio are in artist studio spaces (though some are in galleries, and artist's own live/work space).

Most of the spaces in SF are in old warehouse spaces in SOMA, Mission, Dog patch...some tend to dedicated to a particular genre..i.e. mostly potters (shared kiln), or mostly print makers etc..

Here is a short list here for space in SF:

Due to the rising cost of rent, a lot of the artists and art scene has shifted from SF to Oakland. So you may want to check out places in Oakland.
