I would like to think OP is very clear and came up with a new term for SF that is not confusing, unlike people that think they are being clever by calling it SFO, but really are confusing like half the posters.
OP stole the phrase from 7x7 Magazine:

By "reasonably priced" I mean 1300-1500 incl utilities for someone splitting a 2 or 3br. Does this sort of place exist? I know SF is ultra hilly, but only locals would know reasonable bike routes that won't kill. Thanks people!
Your price range is tough, but doable. I see shared housing on Craigslist in Richmond and Sunset, which is where I would focus my search if I were you. Richmond is bikeable to SoMa on several fairly flat routes. Sunset not quite so much, but it (like Richmond) has pretty reasonable transit commutes. Do you want to bike regardless of public transit & walking time to your office? I also see a handful of studios in the $1300 price range dotted around town. And some shared housing/2BR @ 2600/3BR @ 3900 that are dotted around town. I would be cautious about locations for those places.

Depending on your tolerance, Western Addition, the Tenderloin, Bayview, and Vis Valley may be unacceptable. Glen Park, Portola, and Twin Peaks are going to be hilly (although Glen Park BART can potentially make your commute easy). Craigslist is the place to look for housing options, then check out the bike maps posted in this thread to determine whether it is bike-able for you. Also look at transit directions on Google maps to determine how fast you can get to work on bus or rail. And finally, look at one of the innumerable neighborhood guides online to find out if the neighborhood meets your activity, social life, and safety needs.
