Nah, that honor should go to DC, with Seattle coming in second. SF has its fair share of snobs, but DC takes the cake.

All I had to do was try to drive in Forest Hill to understand. No quarter if you don't know exactly where you're going and stop signs are optional for me, not for you though.. everyone driving Audis way too fast.. not my idea of a nice neighbor.

The list used factors such as cost of housing, average household income, number of art galleries, and percent of residents who graduated from college.
I don't get it. San Francisco has expensive housing and lots of highly educated residents with good incomes who love art and culture. And exactly how does that make us "snobs?" What makes a person a snob is his attitude toward others, not how educated and cultured he may be or how much his house costs. I know a lot of people this article would call "snobs" who are as unpretentious and down to earth as anyone you'll ever meet.

that belongs to LA. SF is the city full of hobos and weird liberals who love to vastly overpay for rent.

education and art galleries constitute snobbiness? i really dislike the parameters they used for this. how about the most well educated and art loving cities rank?

Education + Art Galleries + Museums + high rent + high income = Snobs.

Hmmm ok, then I guess:

High school drop outs + Walmarts + Liquor Stores + low rent + low income = Saints!

.

I think the opposite of a snob would be a down-to-earth person. Sinners and saints can be both snobbish and down-to-earth.
