Sure I believe his words.
Tell us what you know about his "real target". I'm curious about his motivation to randomly shoot "a pretty white lady" broad daylight in public. You apparently have an inside track on the investigation. Perhaps, in addition to being a blood transfusion expert you are also a police interrogator?

And yeah, why would a wanted felon illegal who shot someone by accident in broad daylight in public throw the gun in the water and run instead of staying to render assistance? No doubt he's a trained medic subscribed to the Hippocratic oath, eh?

No need to believe his words. Something to be said for thinking through the scenario rationally though.

Too many assumptions on your part here.

What kind of person would "accidentally" shoot someone then run and toss the gun if they have nothing to hide? Stop and rendering aid in the form of calling paramedics, telling the parents it was an accident, showing concern until the medics arrived.

I am a Molecular Diagnostician not a blood transfusion expert.

It sounds as if you think you have an inside track on the investigation.

Assuming must be how you keep yourself entertained.

Donald has a point but he went way overboard with saying the world rapists and killers. Not all of illegals are bad actually the majority of them are amazing, only the bad ones make the news like the police.

Furthermore, if the same gunman had killed a Mexican on Shotwell St., rather than a white girl on The Embarcadero, Trump would have never said a word about it.

Wow, I can't believe half of what I'm reading here. To make it simple for some of you, gun ownership is like driving a car, some people are better off walking.

1. Anyone with any sense at all and who knows SF will take the SF from the 70's and early 80's vs. the SF today. The reasons have nothing to do with the crime rate.
If you aren't talking about the crime rate, then what are you talking about?

See post #282 to get the full perspective of what we are talking about, or use the search feature on CD with respect to what SF was like in the 70's and 80's.

2. I lived in SF in the late 70's and early 80's, and not as a visitor from TX. This is how I arrived at this opinion.

3. I do not live in the suburbs of San Jose.
No need to be indignant. You made your statement in the context of a thread titled "Crime is getting out of control," so I'm sure you can understand my confusion.

I wasn't aware that you ever lived here. How long did you live here? I ask, because previously, you stated that you had only spent a few months at a time visiting friends, when you were a flight attendant. That's not what you mean, is it?

Your observations as a longtime resident would have more credence. What neighborhood(s) did you live in? For how long? When you say it's worse now, are you talking about that neighborhood? Many have changed dramatically since the 70s and 80s.

For instance, I had lunch at a sidewalk cafe in Hayes Valley and walked up to The Fillmore for the Jazz Festival today. I remarked to my wife that not long ago, the window shoppers, boutiques, street food park, sidewalk cafes and restaurants along Hayes St. would have been unheard of! Ditto that (to a lesser extent) in the Fillmore, though its renewal has come at the expense of displacing much of its black community. I personally prefer the older Fillmore, but the newer Hayes Valley. Hard to argue that both aren't safer now, though.

Good for you, yourself and I.

Not into playing your narcissistic game.

If you like SF now too bad you did not get to experience it in the 70's and 80's.

There would be pages and pages of your me, myself and I rants ad nauseum.

Anyway back to the real topic. Yes crime is bad in SF and comes as random tandem as it gets.
