I am meeting my fiancee this weekend in San Francisco, and I want to take her to a romantic, quaint hotel. Perhaps a "boutique" type hotel. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions or has stayed in one of these types of hotels. Price would not really be a consideration, but I would think a reasonable amount would $150-$300...

Thank you.

My husband used to work for Joie de Vivre Hospitality, which has a bunch of boutique hotels in the Bay Area. One of his perks was that we got to stay in a lot of them. My all-time fave was the Mill Valley Inn--super nice, if you don't mind driving over the bridge to Marin. My favorite one in the City is the Hotel Rex in Union Square. You can check out the web site for all JDV hotels at: Joie de Vivre Hotels: California Hotels, San Francisco Union Square Hotels, Los Angeles Hotels, Silicon Valley Hotels, Marin Hotels, Napa Hotels. Enjoy your getaway!
