Northern California/Bay Area Cities with Houses Surrounded by Redwood Trees? (Oakland: living, groceries)

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone can think of towns, cities or areas in the bay area (or a bit outside of the bay area) where living amongst the redwood trees is possible? I'm hoping to find a city or town where one can live in what feels like the redwood forest, while still able to easily access grocery stores and whatnot within minutes. I've checked out areas in the Santa Cruz mountains like Scott's Valley, but a lot of the houses and areas are hard to get in and out of, and going to the grocery store and running errands would be tricky. The other lovely area I discovered was Mill Valley, which I feel like fits what I'm describing. Are there other towns like Mill Valley, where one could live amongst Redwoods yet make it down to Whole Foods in under 10 minutes?

Hello,
Try the Pescadero area near the Half Moon Bay area. There is a grocery store in town. Also plenty of Redwood Trees. It is a coastal town also.

Go back to the Santa Cruz area, and look more carefully. There are towns nestled in the redwoods that have a New Leaf grocery store right in town. Felton is a prime example. Boulder Creek has a New Leaf. Bonney Doon. Marin County also has a number of small towns with redwood groves in town, or just outside of town. And surprisingly enough, there are parts of Kensington, bordering on north Berkeley, that border on a redwood forest, or have redwoods growing on residential property. It doesn't compare to those other areas, though.

Redwood trees are way too big for the average back yard in "cities".

It's a pretty small town and a pretty small grocery store. Awesome pastries, but not the kind of pristine produce the OP has complained in the past about not being able to find.

Also, Pescadero is inundated with tourists on the weekends, drawn to the area by Harley Farms and Duarte's.

You can get the Pristine Produce from the several Farmers Markets off of Hwy 1.

In the Oakland Hills. Even the most remote places are only 10 minutes from groceries. Also Castro Valley along Eden Canyon or Crow Canyon.

There's a little village between Oakland and Moraga called Canyon...not far from amenities in Moraga, and surrounded by Redwoods. There's Lagunitas, Olema, and San Geronimo in Marin Co. I'm not sure about convenience to amenities, however.

Redwood city, palo alto are generally filled with redwood trees, san mateo too but not as much

It's pretty hard to beat Mill Vally, IMO, OP.
