Has the SFPD done anything to "clean up" the city before all the tourist come flooding in this week?

Thanks! I think they should lock them up and release them on Monday. This is what Atlanta did prior to the Olympics. Im sure the homeless people will still migrate into the city this weekend because im sure they want to be around the action.

After doing some research I see several groups are protesting over this this weekend.

CalTrans freeway sweeping has been a lot more active the past few weeks.

I guess they didn't want the usual center median pig stye look on national TV.

I understand what you're referring to...but, again, on what charge? 6 months in jail for loitering?

Talk about a terrible way to handle the homeless problem. Just throw them in jail, right?

Yeah, I've been noticing lots of transients over the past week or two rolling into town from miles away. Probably due to pushing them out of the city for the game. I also have a friend who owns and operates a family convenience store and she's been swamped lately with homeless people going into her place without money and issues. I can't totally blame San Fran though because one of the major reasons I stopped going to San Fran is because of all the homeless "aftermath & fallout" up there that includes but not limited to: human waste, crime, vandalism, and dysfunctional personal behavior(s).

Reminds me of a friend of mine who was living in Hawaii for a while. He mentioned that the local government was buying plane tickets to anyone homeless, buying them a one way ticket to any place on the main land they wanted. They didn't want the tourists having to see or deal with the same homeless issues there.

How cute, you think college sports are actually big in California. That's just a marketing ploy, like Detroit being "Hockeytown."
