I see those who own real homes with actual land (not that fake HOA condo BS) to be far higher in stature than any yuppie condo complex. I don't care what kind of doorman/gym/pool you have. "Luxury" condos/apartments are no more impressive to me than living in a 6 unit multifamily built in 1955 in a run down neighborhood.
How are hipsters a part of this? They can't afford to do anything but rent, and they have to share a place just to be able to do that.

This sounds like the kind of rants people were having back when hippies took over the Bay Area. "Damn hippies! Get off my lawn!" lol

There's a fine line between techies and hipsters in many cases.

There are a lot of fusion "techie hipsters". Pretty hard to separate from blue collar bartender/sheet metal artist hipsters clinging on due to rent control.

Yes, most states. A total of 44 out of 50 had less than 2 1/2% of their total homes go into foreclosure.

Yeah, because downtown Redwood City looks GREAT with the skyscraper canyons now.

Scraping one house and building five on the same lot wasn't enough for the city fathers.

In my neighborhood they took a 1/4 or 1/3 acre lot and built 4 "modern town homes" on it. It looks hideous but hey at least its jacking up the value of our duplex.
