I am planning to rent an apartment which has this picture where washer dryer should be installed.
https://s3.amazonaws.com/Rently_dev/.../3285692/large

I would get some guidance on what kind of washer dryer do I need and how to install it. No one in my family is able to life a washer dryer from the curb - back problems. I haven't ever installed a washer/dryer before but I am willing to learn.

If you buy one from Sears, or some other major retailer, it should include installation. And if they need to remove that shelf, it should be no big deal - just a matter of unscrewing a few screws.

Just a standard washer and dryer will fit. When you look at the selection, you will see what I mean - almost all of them are the same size.
Washer goes on the left; salesman will sell you the right kind of hoses for the water and the waste water.

Dryer goes on the right; you are all set up for an electric dryer. The big hole near the floor is for the exhaust vent, and if you show the salesman the picture he will sell you the correct kind of connector.

Good News!.... Almost everyone who sells washer and dryers will install it for you. You really don't have to do anything. It will take them maybe 10 minutes and they will level it for you and everything.

Looks to me like the space is designed for a separate washer and dryer, not one of the combined units. They'd be too tall. Washer goes on the left (water spigots), dryer on the right (electric outlet).

There's really nothing to installing them, but provided that you buy locally, I'm sure installation could be included with delivery. (Maybe not available at big-box stores)

If, for some reason, you do have to install them yourself, just follow the directions. Exactly! (Not getting them level and having all four corners equally supporting the weight is probably the mistake most often seen.)

Edit: Listener said it better.

The outlet for the dryer looks like it's 220v, but take pics of the outlets for the washer and dryer and take measurements of the space with you as well when you go shopping.

You need to have someone do this who knows how. Contact the apartment management company for suggestions on a maintenance person who can install it for you. If there is a problem you're going to be responsible for any water damage to units below you (if any).
