I really hate it that they are moving out of Oakland

They could sell a single family home anywhere in the hills and probably would have had enough to build the stadium.

And you know Las Vegas, more suckers and eternal optimists than any city in this country, who's still going through its teenage years with acne, not realizing that interest is waning for both baseball and football.

And it's tourists are part of the sucker class as room rates were raised to help pay for this domed White Elephant!

Good to see there's some intelligence remains in 2 cities in California, Oakland and San Diego.

Perfect choice! The casino operators raid the tourists every single hour they're here, with ridiculous resort fees, and now, paid parking and $13-15 for valet parking, and now an extra tax on rooms to pay for the stadium. And let's not forget our raiding taxi drivers doing long hauls!

NFL in Vegas is larger than life.

No one want's to be in the East Bay market.

Only reason A's are staying is because of the supreme court.

Too bad, it would have been funny to see Oakland lose all their teams.

Well, even for LV, it's not really certain that NFL fans coming out of town are going to benefit the Strip businesses that much.

Think about it - the time fans spend at a game is time not spent at the gaming tables, shows, and restaurants. It's displacement rather than additional business.

That's actually a lot of studies done on sports events that seem to show that it tends to divert money that would be spent on other entertainment, rather than in addition. So the economic effects are minimal.

Well, actually, the center of gravity of overall Bay Area population is somewhere around Hayward. One has to be pretty lame to not succeed in the East Bay.

East bay fans are the worst fair weather fans. Kind of hard for a sports team to do well in that market.

Look at the A's, they are a national disgrace. You need an army of blow up dolls to fill the stands, because everyone is trying to take BART to the Giants game.
