I can't believe there is no mention of the Golden State Warriors for winning the Championship last night.
They set the best winning record this year during the regular season, went 17-1 through the playoffs, and have won the championship the last 2 out of 3 years.
Even when the warriors weren't that good the fan base was incredible. Even though I now live in Georgia, they are still my home team.
So congrats to the dubs and their loyal Bay Area fan base

KD is weak for joining the dubs.

He will never be a Jordan, Johnson, or even Kobe.

Funny when a team becomes successful how all the haters come out. I've been a longtime warrior fan and for most their history they haven't been that good. They finally put together a team that is really good and people hate them for it, but to assemble a good team is the goal of all teams.
Maybe KD doesn't join the ranks of Jordan etc. Maybe he doesn't care. Maybe he just wants to enjoy basketball and attaining goals. I'm pretty sure he doesn't care that much what the rest of us think.

How am I hating? They're a great team. I'm just speaking from a fan's perspective. 16-1 in the playoffs is just not interesting.

Most people knew the Warriors would win this year, I don't understand how they couldn't win to be honest. 4 all stars, and 2 of which are MVP's. Pretty stacked...

Most people also expected it to be Cavs va Warriors and it was. Boring series really, but at least Lebron showed he's still the best player in the game today, averaging a triple double against the Warriors pretty much shows dominance.

This is what happens when you witness the best team ever. If you are saying its boring, you are then saying you never want to witness the best team ever.

Hell no.

Its one thing to do what LeBron did and join a superteam from the beginning. Its another to join a team that already won 73 games and had a unanimous MVP on it. KD will never be looked at like those you mention unless he wins a championship as the head guy on a new team.

Having said that, he will still be an NBA Champion and Finals MVP in the history books which won't ever be taken from him. He'll just be a chump.

I did-agree. I totally get what he's saying. The best games to watch, are he close, contested, back & fourth games that can go either way, at anytime. The Warriors are without a doubt, a superteam, best of the best, etc... There's no denying that

However, watching blowout after blowout, is indeed boring. While the Cavs-Warriors series was somewhat entertaining, the rest of the playoffs were pretty bad, a ton of blowouts, aside from the Wizards vs Celtics series

The Eastern Conference is much weaker then the Western Conference, and Lebron/ Cleveland is the beneficiary of that disparity. If you put the Cavs in the West, they wouldn't get passed GSW, SAS, HOU, or LAC, to say the least.
